We Are A No KILL Non-Profit Cat Rescue Here In San Diego
Help San Diego Ferals’ mission is to effectively promote, facilitate, and implement humane measures to reverse feline overpopulation through low-cost, high-volume, spay/neuter programs, and to provide education to ensure that adoptable felines can find “furever” homes and those unadoptable are humanely trapped, neutered and returned to their familiar environment.
We are an all volunteer, 501-c-3, non-profit animal rescue organization, dedicated to saving the lives of sick, injured and stray domestic animals
Help San Diego Ferals is a No-Kill Non-Profit Rescue Center
Help San Diego Ferals was founded in 2010, when a very kind, yet irresponsible, neighbor of mine had 3 cats (2 males 1 female). The female was let out and unfortunately got pregnant. At the same time the same neighbor received a crushing blow… he was diagnosed with lung cancer. As his health was deteriorating we both agreed that the best option was to find new homes and humanly spay and neuter the kitties. The humane society wasn’t an option because the cats may have been euthanized and the owner was distressed about this possibility. 4 months later he was sent to hospice and died 1 year later. In the meantime, all the kitties found homes with new loving families.
Since then, I have decided to help other kitties find a loving home and help our community with the pet overpopulation during financial hard times.
Ways we help…
We currently have placed 89 kitties in new homes and spayed/neutered 139 ferals in hopes that this helps the pet overpopulation. We are a no-kill nonprofit rescue center, who bonds early and loves a lifetime.
Interacting with animals and receiving their unconditional love is very rewarding. Your contribution of time and talent can help save the lives of unwanted, stray or abused animals who cannot help themselves.
